6 Things To Do Now That The Kids Are Back In School

Wow! What a summer, I mean, do you even remember June? Well, it’s all over now (praise the lord!) and we can finally get back to regular life. Here is a short list of things you probably kept telling yourself you would do once the house was somewhat quiet again. Well now it’s quiet, so here they are!


1. Clean Their Room.

I know I know. They should really clean their own room, but look at this as an opportunity to really give it a scrub down. Getting rid of dust in high places or under the beds can really keep everyone healthier and happier!

2. Make Menus for Rosh Hashana (maybe even Sukkot!)

Menus are the fun part! A little tip for menu writing is picking a theme. For example on Rosh Hashana you can try incorporating a lot of pomegranate, apple, and honey in the menu.

3. Clean out the Fridge

It’s not the most important thing to take care of, but trust me when you’re deep in category 4 chagim. You’ll call me personally to thank me!

4. Spa Day!

Now that you finally have a moment to breathe, why not breathe some essential oils in a soothing hot jacuzzi?! If you’re on a budget you can spa-it-up at home. Just light a scented candl, buy some bath salts, and sit in the bathroom for 50 hours with great music and a book! You deserve it.

5. Personal Shopping Trip

Either with a friend or alone. You don’t need to spend a lot of money, just grab a coffee and walk around the store without anything to worry about. Trust me, you’ll be happy you did it!

6. Sleep.

Just do it. Don’t feel bad, just do it.
